I come from a line of small dairy farmers. My dad worked incredibly hard on the farm, but like so many in the industry, it just wasn’t profitable. I always had chickens and ducks around, but I swore I’d never get goats. So naturally, when my daughter asked for goats… I said absolutely not.
And then she talked me into it.
The truth? I fell in love. Goats have completely changed my life—and not just because they’re adorable. People started asking if I could bring my goats to parties or events, and before long, I realized this little homestead had the potential to do more than just take care of itself. It could become a business.
But it wasn’t easy at first. I tried the usual stuff: selling eggs, running a roadside stand, hoping the numbers would work out. Spoiler: they didn’t. Feed and hay cost more than those little side hustles ever brought in.
That’s when I got creative. I stopped following what everyone else was doing and built my own system—a better one. And guess what? It worked.
Now I help other homesteaders do the same inside the Homesteaders Hustle Society. I’ve coached thousands of entrepreneurs through business challenges, and I’ve seen what works in real life—not just on paper. My strategies are practical, tested, and designed to help everyday people grow a homestead that brings joy and income.
